I mentioned a few posts ago about this LiveSoundtracks project, well, that day I made a special cover version of the song “William Onyeabor – Better change your mind” and today I decided to record it by request of a few friends..
Is a short version made in one morning, so forget the lack of spectrumness
Herzog fictionalized war through image and I’ll do my best to do a second fictionalization through music, live and improvisational music that is. I’ll be standing in a stage, this time not completely alone cause the projection and I will be having a conversation, my first conversation of this kind I might say, cause this is the first time in my life that I’m making a Live Soundtrack. Â
This will take place the next 8th of February in Barcelona at Sala Apolo in Barcelona in the LiveSountracks showcase part of Micro Mutek Festival.
The set up I’ll use will be : bass, voice, OP1, drumsamples, moogerfooger, pedals. I’ll be expanding the register of both the bass and the voice, and I’ll try to expand and compress the architectural configuration of the venue.
I’ll start at 9pm, I’ll play for 38 min. Â Be on time!

some months ago while I was coming back from Greece, my guitar was broken in the plane. I can imagine it flying in the air and gently falling in the luggage compartment of the plane after thrown by very gentle guy… yes! because it said everywhere in the case “handle with care”.
A week later, I opened the flight-case and noticed the strings where extra loosen, more than what I had slacken them before traveling, then I noticed something weird in the neck, what? yes, it was broke, a really nice oblique fracture making a two-part electric guitar.
That same night with a black broken guitar (and kinda broken heart) I was told about crowd-funding, and I figure I could offer some gifts to happy donors who could help me finance a new guitar, and to give it a try I wrote this post, and to my surprise many friends and people who enjoy my music made really nice contributions. This was a very nice surprice, totally unbelievable. So after some days I was able to buy a new beautiful guitar! (you can see her in the picture below, is white, lighter, smaller, angrier… and guapÃsima!)
So, all this story is basically to THANK all the people who donated and made it easier to replace my equipment!, I am really happy to be able to look at her every morning when I come into the bedroom/studio, to see that she gets along pretty well with Mr Aqua Dalt and specially to have the same guitar as W. Ellis, Miss S. Niblet and Mr Cobain.
